Do I need to sign a contract with LawnAmerica?
No. You will not get stuck in any one-year contracts. As a continuous lawn service, we will keep coming out every year until you tell us to stop. If you want to skip a treatment or stop service all together, you only need to give us a call.

Do I need to be home during lawn care service?
Nope. We can leave an invoice and watering instructions at your door when we’re finished. During account setup, we can discuss any issues of a locked gate, guard dog, or any notifications you would like from us. If you have any questions or want to add any information to your account, feel free to contact us at any time!

Do I need to water in your treatment?
If there is no rain in the next few days after a treatment, then yes, you will need to water the lawn to get full results from the fertilizers and pre-emergent weed-control. To keep your lawn at its best, you will need to continue watering it on a weekly basis.

Is it okay if it rains after a treatment?
Typically rain is a very good thing, beneficial to treatments of pre-emergent herbicide and fertilizer. This is true even of hard rainfall. Now if it’s a toad-strangler, it is true that some product might be swept away, but usually not so much that you will need another treatment altogether. Wait 7 to 14 days. If your weeds have not died yet, then give us a call and we will promptly provide post-emergent treatment free of charge.

What is the difference between your various lawn care programs?
Of all our lawn care programs, our 6-step lawn care program is our best, where we come out every 6 weeks, February through November.  during the growing season to ensure your turf benefits from the maximum amount of nutrients, weed control, and care. With the 5-step program, the main difference is that we come out every 8 weeks.  Your lawn will still receive weed control applications, and a couple treatments of fertilizer, but we will recommend that you supplement these with a few fertilizer treatments yourself.

Can I pay for services with checks or credit cards?
For your convenience, you can pay a bill online, through a credit or debit card, or a check, and you further have the option of signing up for automatic credit card payments. Contact us with any questions, and we would be happy to assist you.

Are any of your lawn treatments harmful to pets or children?
Pesticides do pose some risk and cannot be made entirely safe, but one of the best ways you can reduce this risk is by having a professional come out to treat your lawn. In this way, you don’t run the risks associated with keeping concentrated pesticides in your storage cabinets or garage.

When our pros dilute and apply treatment per label instructions, you, your kids, and your pets will not face any unreasonable risks. We use these products on a near-daily basis, and we have full confidence in the effectiveness of these products and the minimal risk factors they present. As label instructions state, pets can return to the lawn after liquid treatment has dried, often an hour-long wait. Then it is safe for anyone to be on the lawn. With dry fertilizer and spot treatments, pets can safely stay out on the lawn even as we apply treatment.
